Bo has lived in Charlotte North Carolina for 3 years, moving there from rural Georgia. He has been happily married for 8 years and has been the main caregiver for his wife since then, due to the fact that she is permanently disabled from a vicious attack that left her in a coma for two weeks and resulted in 13 brain surgeries. After getting married, they found out that she was no longer "eligible" for SSI benefits and they were all stripped from her. Not only that, but the government then demanded repayment of all funds paid since their marriage date. It was at this moment that Bo truly realized that the system wasn’t just broken, but that it was deliberately marginalizing people. This was something he had often thought of in theory but was now living. This began a long journey of self-reflection and education on the underlying causes of oppression. Ultimately leading to the conclusion that a system by and for the people was the only true way. And that the resources in this country should be reallocated towards building communities instead of filling the pockets of billionaires.Bo grew up homeschooled on a small farm in Georgia where he learned hard work and the basic skills necessary to keep things running. It was a modest operation where his family raised goats, chickens, cows, and rabbits and sold them at auctions. His family ran a Jewelry store which opened right as the great recession started in 2008, resulting in its untimely shutdown two years later. Here he learned customer service and sales skills that still come in handy to this day. After that he worked almost every job you can imagine, working as a custodian at a college, gas station attendant, deli worker, auto parts representative/delivery driver, dump truck driver working in chalk mines, Hazardous chemical transport expert and trainer, shipping loader, Loss Prevention Agent, and now working as a supervisor in a warehouse. So, if you want a representative that is relatable, you just found one. Bo works hard and knows how to get things done. He would much rather work to fix something than complain about it, and that’s exactly what he will do if he is elected. On day one his priority will be introducing legislation on important issues that matter to people, instead of grandstanding for hours on end in some kind of filibuster spectacle. Raising the minimum wage, universal healthcare, abolishing ICE, ending wars, legalizing marijuana, prison reform, exposing corruption, combating human trafficking and exploitation, ending foreign aid, and ending genocides around the world to only name a few issues.

1.
Human trafficking and exploitation are possibly the biggest issues on the planet, considering that 50 million people worldwide currently live under some form of slavery. From child trafficking, forced marriages, and forced labor, we must combat these issues wherever they are to ensure that all people on this planet are free from oppression and that guilty parties are brough to justice. No matter where it happens or what party is responsible, we must get justice for victims of these atrocities. Including, but not limited to the leaders of this country. Democrat and Republican. No more will the rich and powerful be allowed to target our most vulnerable people for profit and pleasure.

2.
Wars and genocides must end today. The senseless killing of innocent civilians is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated. No matter who it is happening to, or who is perpetrating these acts. No group of people deserves to live under a constant threat of violence, and we must unite on the world stage to end these atrocities. From Gaza to The Congo, we must protect our neighbors who suffer the most horrific oppression and hold accountable the people and systems who commit these crimes, regardless of their status or current relationship with The United States.

3.
Universal healthcare, universal childcare, and a complete overhaul of our mental health system must be implemented as soon as possible. Our government officials always claim we don’t have the money, yet we spend trillions of dollars on things that not only do not help the American people, but harm millions around the world. It is time for America to have a modern Healthcare system that works to heal the sick, not pull them into debt. That doesn't punish and persecute doctors and nurses who speak out against unsafe methods of practice. That gives woman better and safer options for reproductive health. A system that values innovation instead of profit margins.

4.
We must do everything in our power to protect the environment and hold large corporations accountable for the pollution they cause. We must expand wind and solar power to update our power grid, and work towards developing a proper infostructure for electric vehicles. We also need an indefinite moratorium on all data centers until we can properly regulate this industry, as they are currently using enormous amounts of electricity and poisoning our water supply.

5.
Workers’ rights! $25 minimum wage, mandatory maternity leave and vacation for all workers, and mandatory holiday leave for all state recognized holidays. Allowing workers who want full time hours to have them, instead of forcing them to be part-time to avoid giving them benefits. Stricter regulations on the truck driving industry to ensure fair practices such as mandatory 6 days off per month, transparency in how drivers are paid by percentage, minimum $1 per mile, and mandatory “hazard pay” for all hazardous loads.
Tearing down "right to work" and "At will work place" laws that make it almost impossible to unionize. It’s time for workers to rise up and take what is rightfully ours.

6.
End ICE and completely rehaul our immigration system. Immigrants who are not actively being sought for violent crimes should not be treated as if they were. Local, state and federal law enforcement agencies have plenty of resources to fight gangs and drug trafficking. Our immigration system should be one of assistance, not terror.
We must defend human dignity and ensure that asylum seekers get the help they deserve. We must shut down these horrific "Detention Centers" where innocent men women and children are being starved, tortured and sexually abused. These people need compassion. Ya know, "love thy neighbor". Does that ring a bell?
